As we are all waiting for the Financial Times new ranking concerning the Master courses in Business and Management, we might want to have a look at the 2006 ranking, just to refresh our memories. As we know, this is a very unique ranking which finally compares pre experience master courses, and not post experience ones. This is really important as there are many Master of Science graduate students starting their professional life and fairly enough, we would like to have an insight in those business schools too.
So far in Europe the biggest problem for such a ranking was the simply lack of common factors which would let experts to compare Business Schools (or universities offering master in business and management) and their courses. Since the Bologna process has started to take place, such a comparison can be carried out. Below you will find an extract from Financial Times European Master Ranking in terms of Salary.
Why in terms of salary? Because it it one of the most important approach that one might consider when choosing university at which a master to be earned. Wanting to work in business, we all understand the importance of such a comparison, as we would like to earn well. Fair enough, we give our outmost expertise and we would like to be compensated accordingly. But knowledge can be obtained during studies, so there is our link of graduates' salaries and universities quality.
Just a note, in this ranking you will not find some major business schools. Why is that? well, they just recently introduced their new study system which is in line with the Bologna Process. According to their old study system, their education is not comparable to a master of science. Before they will be included to the ranking, a couple of year have to pass in order to get a real feed on their programs' success.
