The International Study Program (ISP) is an intensive short-term program in English for MBA students from St.Gallen’s partner universities. Through small classes and interactive teaching, students in this program will gain a profound and enduring understanding of business in Europe.
Attending MBA student s from one of St.Gallen’s partner universities can decide to participate in this three month short-term program. The International Study Program is composed of both core and elective courses. The core courses are the following:
• Leadership in European Companies
• Strategic Management
• Team Building: Leadership and Team Competencies (formerly called Outdoor Training)
• European Corporate Governance
• European Cultural History
In order to better focus on your interests, you select 2 or 3 elective courses:
• International Entrepreneurship
• European Business Law
• Europe's Business Environment: Rules, Reform and Restructuring
Furthermore, the student can elect to take some optional courses. The participation in all courses is required.
In addition to the core curriculum, company visits and excursions form an integral part of the International Study Program since they give students an exposure to some of the most dynamic companies in the region, and could provide opportunities to meet important and influential professionals. MBA Students have visited companies such as BMW in Munich, Novartis in Basel, IWC in Schaffhausen, and the European Free Trade Association court in Luxembourg as an example. If you want to participate in this short-term program you must be nominated by the Study Abroad Office at one of St.Gallen’s partner universities. Since it’s part of the CEMS and has a worldwide network, I suggest to have a glance at the complete list of partner universities in order to see if yours is in it.
