If you’re a young
career-minded graduate student, then you are supposed to be interested in the Siemens
Graduate Program (SGP), an entry-level program that wants to meet the needs of
young managers. By participating at this program, during two years you will pass through three phases that introduce you to different
career paths at Siemens. One of these phases will consist in eight-months to one of their locations abroad.
In fact, Siemens operates in nearly every country on earth and they are active in a wide range of market. From Industry to Healthcare, from energy generation and distribution to road and rail transportation. You could have a better idea going to their website.
Coming to the point, the Siemens Graduate Program is a program that lasts for two year and is divided into three assignments. Each assignment lasts for 8 months. One of these takes place in a different country from the one by which you’ll start the program, and you will work abroad. The SGP has the target of enhancing your career in the country in which you start the program. You can start in many countries but, apart from Germany, you need to be already employed at a Siemens in that particular country. This means that, as a graduate student that don’t want to start its experience at Siemens in Germany, you should do a local application in the country from which you’d like to start the graduate program. You will have to wait the right amount of time for your supervisor to recommend you for the SGP. This will be the start of your selection process in that country. During this graduate program you will work at least in two different functions of the same business area, for example in Purchasing, Development, Sales or Marketing, etc gaining different perspectives.
What you need to have an excellent chance of being accepted into the
Siemens Graduate Program is a convincing personality, well-developed communication skills and a university degree with top results. If you’re a flexible student, mobile, open-minded and interested in an international experience in a multinational company…
