Student competition is a great opportunity to put in practice what you’ve learned at the college. Deutsche Post World Net is now offering to students the opportunity to develop a consulting project in order to examine a specific problem concerning the product and service portfolio of DHL.

Deutsche Post World Net, with its brands DHL and Deutsche Post, is the No. 1 international logistics group. Inhouse Consulting is the international top management consultancy of Deutsche Post World Net. They work inside and for Deutsche Post World Net and in all parts of DHL and Deutsche Post-globally. Why am I talking about Inhouse Consulting? Because this is actually the mentor you’ll have during the student competition, and main source to learn how professional consultants work.

So, with this student competition you have the opportunity to put yourself into the world of consulting and solve a particularly challenging problem in a short amount of time and with people you have just met. The teams will be formed by 3 or 4 students, and you will be assisted by a seasoned consultant. Every team will see how internal consulting operates thanks to the support of a professional consultant. In order to participate to this student competition you have to apply by October 27, 2008. Shortly after the application deadline, you will learn the identities of your team members and receive background information. You will then have three weeks to complete your team work, from November 10th to November 30th. The teams that will pass to the final round will be invited to Bonn for two days, December 11-12. The team that will win this student competition will receive cash prizes, a consulting training seminar and a tour through the DHL Innovation center.
